I hope that everyone had a great Spring Break. The time has come once again to begin the review process for STAR testing. Course 2 students will be reviewing everyday and doing blocks of homework problems from the entire text until testing is completed.
Jump on and enjoy the ride!
Here are a couple of links where you can practice percent problems:

Did you know that I extended the deadline for protractor extra credit? Yes, all you have to do is show me your (not your friend’s) protractor by Friday (3/6/09) and you get extra credit as such: Wednesday = 4pts, Thursday = 3pts, Friday = 2pts.
Need help using a protractor? Can’t quite remember, and too shy to ask in front of everyone? Try these sites:
This is it! Welcome to the last third of the year. We will face many challenges in the third trimester, but keep up the good work, stay focused, and success will be yours.
we are almost finished with the second trimester. remember to makeup any and all missing assignments prior to February 25th. don’t give up now, we are almost on the home stretch!
I hope you had a restful winter break. Now we are back and it is time to get back to work and explore more of the wonders of Math!
The first trimester is finished. Let it go! Now it is time to dig in and do your best. Remember these tips:
1. Always ask for clarification if you are confused
2. Keep up with your daily work – homework is not busy work
3. Review for tests
4. Keep your notes and homework notebooks neat and organized
5. Makeup ALL work if you miss a day of school
OK, so it is the end of the first trimester. I want to hear from you….BUT PLEASE FOLLOW THE BLOG RULES! remember that this blog is an extension of my classroom and we need to treat each other with respect, so be cool!
what would you like to do more in Math? Throw out some ideas that maybe you did with another teacher, or some stuff we did this year that you would like to do more of. here are some of my ideas: more hands-on math, more partner and small group work, less note-taking, less problems to do at home, more problems to do in class….more of you writing on, and using the Promethean board….oh, and more math work that is done in connection with the computer labs.
so there are some of my thoughts, now comment (follow the blog rules) and let me know what you think…..about math, not baseball!
